My wife's side of the family has a reunion at a different location every year. This year (next weekend), Harrisburg, Pa. I always need to sample the fossils local to the area I visit. My research has brought me to this pdf which I can not open. Does anyone have a copy??????  Thanks.

@piranha Thanks!!!! Unfortunately the sites are on the opposite side of the state from where we will be staying. My home town in Ohio where I grew up (North Canton) is only 90 minutes away from the referenced areas. Will have to put the info aside until going "home" the next time.

You might do a search for Lancaster PA Fossils. ;)

The link to the PDF file of Fossil Collecting in the Pittsburgh Area (1990) (J. A. Harper, 1990, Guidebook, Pittsburgh Geological Society Summer Field Trip, July 29, 1990, 50 p.) and other guidebooks can also be found at:

Montour fossil pit is about an hour and a half North and Seven Stars is 45 minutes or so North of Harrisburg as well. The Swatara State Park is around 45 minutes  NE of Harrisburg.
