anastasis008
In our cottage in an island there are these big rocks that were dug up from the ground when we first built our house but there is one rock in particular that looks like it may have been underwater at some point and I sure am interested in the possibility of maybe finding some fossils, what's your opinion ?does it look like it may have been underwater? And could this area have fossils? Thanks

Does this zoomed image say anything(the circled image is where want to search it is a bit far from my house but it is where the rock is)? I don't know much about geology, do you need a zoomed out map?
Kane
The colours should be indicated in the map legend. Closer is best, and it should tell you the age of the rocks. ...How to Philosophize with a Hammer
Mark Kmiecik
Which island are you on? Some islands have no fossils. Mark. Fossil hunting is easy -- they don't run away when you shoot at them!
ynot
Your rocks look metamorphic and would most likely not have fossils in them. There should be a key to the map that tells You what type of rock is exposed in each color. 1 Darwin said: " Man sprang from monkeys." Will Rogers said: " Some of them didn't spring far enough."
