Looks to me like a broken tiger shark tooth.

Life started in the ocean. And so did my interest in fossils;).

The "denticles" look regular, I don’t feel it’s broken, but I may not see well.

I had it with my tiger shark teeth, but it sticks out like it doesn’t belong.

Here is a pic of a tiger/unknown/cow. If I can’t figure it out, then I’ll call it a hybrid.

It reminds me of a g. contortus tooth.

Never seen one shaped straight like that unless there's some pathology involved. :headscratch:

Can you take a clearer picture of the serrations? It would be helpful to know if the serrations are simple or complex.

Ya, I suppose that might be feasible.

But Im still finding the main spike to be too straight and the smaller cusps to be in a straight flattened plain compared to a "normal" contortus.  Again there may be something going on pathological wise.

This larger portion doesn't look like it's broken and worn. I wonder if we can get some clearer pictures of this tooth.

There is a lot of wear to it...and the wear seems heaviest on that side.... but that would be my guess. You can even kind of see where the curve started on the bottom... matter of fact your lightened photo makes me even more sure of it

I can definitely see what your talking about. When I look closely at the root, it is missing that portion. I’ll go with tiger. Thanks for the help.
