Dracarys
I am obtaining this tooth that was collected in 1980s and found originally in S Dakota and is 3 1/2 inches. The person only identified it as dinosaur tooth. Here are the pictures. It looks like Trex right? Thanks in advance.

TNCollector
Yeah that is a T. rex. It is a good sized one too by the looks of it! Judging by the color and preservation, I would guess either Hell Creek or Lance formation.
Troodon
Yep nice Trex tooth. If it was found in SD its from the Hell Creek Formation

The light brown area is were the enamel is missing. Teeth in a jaw sit pretty high.
