Hello there!

 

Your first specimen is definitely a bivalve - it kind of looks like Grammysioidea arcuata or Grammysia bisculata - and your second specimen looks like a rugose (horn) coral to me.

I agree. The first specimen is a Grammy---bivalve. I'm leaning towards Grammysia. The second a rugose coral, possibly Heliophyllum.

thank you so much!! i was able to extract the fossil from the rock & i’ll post pictures of the bottom in a bit.

I realize now that I completely forgot to mention the scale... the bivalve is nearly 2 inches long,1 3/4 inches wide, and 1 inch tall.
