Mark Kmiecik
It would be best to label this as Mazon Creek unidentified. It's another one of those MC "what-is-its". It seems that a concretion would form around any tiny bit of anything that hit the bottom, and some can actually be identified. Most of it is not yet understood. For instance, it is only recently that the Tully Monster has been identified as a lamprey-like creature. If you research Mazon Creek problematica you will find that many recurrent fossils of MC are yet to be identified, though hundreds, if not thousnads, of specimens exist. 1 Mark. Fossil hunting is easy -- they don't run away when you shoot at them!
