FossilDAWG Posted August 15, 2019 Share Posted August 15, 2019 Hi Matt, I assume you already knew it was a solitary rugose coral and you were looking for a more specific ID. Unfortunately with these corals you would have to make thin sections, oriented to make longitudinal and transverse (cross) sections to get an ID. Since it is worn we don"t have any surface features to go by, and since it was loose in the stream bed it could have come from any one of several different formations so we can't even make an "educated guess" based on the source layer.
