Jones1rocks
To those of you who are serious collectors, this is probably not thought of as an outstanding specimen, but as I'm primarily a mineral collector, I was thrilled to find this piece! I believe it's a section of Calamites, with what I consider some amazing crystallization of calcite and sphalerite.
bigred97
Beautiful find! I haven't seen that level of crystallization before but I really like it.
FossilNerd
Looks amazing to me! I can’t confirm or deny your claim of Calamites, but I thing the specimen looks great! 1 The good thing about science is that it's true whether or not you believe in it. -Neil deGrasse Tyson Everyone you will ever meet knows something you don't. -Bill Nye (The Science Guy)
Mark Kmiecik
I'd like to see a distinct node, but I won't go as far as to say it's not Calamites. That is the most crystallization I've ever seen on a MC specimen. Very exciting find. 1 Mark. Fossil hunting is easy -- they don't run away when you shoot at them!
