Alex Gu
What mosasaurus is it? I bought it as Globidens phosphaticus but I find the bone is from another kind of Mosasaurus. And the seller stick them together. Can someone tell me what specie does the bone belong to? Thanks. Picture 3 is what it looks like at the begining. Alex Gu
The bone is about 5.7cm*4.9cm*1.8cm and it's from morocco
-AnThOnY-
The one embedded in the bone looks like some type of Mosasaurus, while the Globidens is certainly out of place and attached to the top.
LordTrilobite
The tooth is still partially hidden from sight. It looks like it might be slightly ribbed. But it doesn't seem pronounced enough for it to be "platecarpus" ptychodon. Other more likely candidates would be a small or young Prognathodon sp. or Eremiasaurus heterodontus. The straight edge doesn't look like Mosasaurus sp. to me. Sadly this type of practice happens all the time. Especially good jaw pieces with original Globidens are hard to find. I've fallen into the same trap once or twice myself. Olof Moleman AKA Lord Trilobite
