colorful belemnites

I wanted to share a few belemnites in my collection, personaly I think they are a bit of an underrated fossil and could use a little more attention.

They can be very beautiful and colorful :) and of course they are cephalopods :D

 

Belemnites from Eben-Emael ( Belgium ) Maastrichtian:

Really nice ones! I have tons of belemnites but I still love them too :)

Those are real beauties. I especially like those still on matrix. I've only found free-roaming belemnites.

Start the day with a smile and get it over with.

That place, probably Tithonian. The photo is not mine. Right now I'm working on a better description, will post it separately

A couple of them with fine details look better than crappy 1000 anyway:)

Weren't you in Mistelgau? There it should be still easy to find something like that.

Never been to Germany for a fossil hunt , mabey next summer :P
