Found this over the weekend in a small creek in Bloomington, IN.  The size is 3 and 3/4 inches by 2 inches by 1 inch high. Hope someone has some ideas on identifying this. Thanks!

Looks like a bryozoan colony to me.  

Neat find.

I'm seeing a rock with a number of fenestrate bryozoans in it (picture #1) and what looks like it could be the cross-section of a coral (picts 2 - 4, circular darker brown object).

 

I see Fossildude 19 just posted a similar answer.
