Is there a copy of this paper I could look at? Given the relationship of Vallibonavenatrix to North African and Brazilian spinosaurs, but also Ichthyovenator, but also the baryonychine nature of Suchomimus, it is apparent that more than one spinosaurid clade existed in western Europe in the early Cretaceous.
