I went to Big Brook in NJ last week found this tooth and I have no idea what kind it is.  Sorry for my fingers.  Couldn't get the picture to focus on paper.  Thank you in advance for any feedback.

Looks like a goblin shark (scapanorhynchus) tooth. They have several different tooth shapes for different positions in the mouth.
