Dear friends can you help me with this , I went to Eocene area to the east of Riyadh city , over the years I found hundreds of HADRODUS PRISCUS gill teeth but the question is why there is different shapes to the teeth ? Is it due to the age of the fish or the position of the tooth or there simply different species?

It may be a function of both position and age, or just one of the two in some cases.

My guess would be different positions in the mouth/throat.
