EthanCook01
Hi everyone, Today I was in Weymouth (south of England) when I stumbled upon a popular fossil shop. The shop specializes in selling a variety of both fossil replicas and 'fossils'. While I was there I stumbled across a selection of Mosasaur teeth with the root kept inside a locked cabinet. I decided to purchase one of them for £10. So what I was wondering is if the tooth and root are real or not as I am still sceptical. Can anyone give any insight? Brett Breakin' Rocks
When you zoom in on the image it looks good on this side. Usually you will see a noticable change in texture and color where the teeth are attached to the roots/composited roots. Cheers, Brett
LordTrilobite
We'll need better photos. Better light, several angles and large images. Olof Moleman AKA Lord Trilobite

LordTrilobite
Yeah I'm pretty sure that's all real. There are no red flags here. The root is real and the join between the root and crown looks correct in every way. There is the one side that still looks to have some matrix on it, which could throw some people off in the way it looks. Nice rooted Prognathodon sp. tooth. 1 Olof Moleman AKA Lord Trilobite
