Possible Snake Head

Found this possible snake head on a beach North of St Augustine.  Looking for information.  Thank You.

It's the skull cap to a fish, the sea robin, Prionotus sp.

Prionotus sp. date back at least to the Pliocene, and of course they're still around.  Fossil skull caps like this were a regular find at the Lee Creek Mine in the Pliocene Yorktown Fm, and also in Florida.  There is a writeup on fossils of this species at Elasmo.com, under Lee Creek teleosts
