digit Posted August 25, 2019 Share Posted August 25, 2019 +1 for coral. Welcome to the forum and, for the moment, Florida. Was this (and the other finds you mentioned) found on/near the beach or somewhere inland? If it was on the beach then likely it is a small weathered piece of a modern coral skeleton. If found inland then it is a fossil remnant of when most of South Florida was covered with a shallow sea. Where are you currently in Florida.
