Jeffrey P
A number of really impressive specimens there. That was one awesome trip. Big congratulations and thanks for sharing them.
stats
I have been negligent in posting specimens here lately. Here are some recent openings. Enjoy! Cheers, Rich I nice orbicular pinnule of Macroneuropteris. A syncarid shrimp. I can't see the tail to probably either Tyrannophontes or Acanthotelson. It looks much better in person! This one was a small chip off a much bigger concretion. It pays to be patient with the river concretions as individual layers can contain a fossil. And a millipede. It's small so the quality of the picture isn't great. I'll try to take a better one with my USB microscope.
RCFossils
More interesting material. The shrimp appears to be Acanthotelson. Tyrannophontes is only found at sites like Pit 11 that preserve marine fossils. It has a very distinct body shape. Please try and take better pictures of the millipede. From the picture, it looks more like another shrimp.

deutscheben
What nice fauna! That second one does look tricky- I can see it either as a shrimp or millipede depending on how I look at it- the mysteries of Mazon Creek fossils.

I see your through your whacking thread that you are starting up again, too. Those are always interesting posts. Are you doing your freeze thaw outside or inside? I have a few containers in my backyard. I put them out during the cold spell we had a few weeks ago. Cheers, Rich

flipper559
Some nice flora there Rich !! I haven't had much open lately. Jelly fish, worm, couple ferns, seed bract, and the ever present coprolite. One of these days I'll learn how to take/post good pictures of a few of my discoveries. Waiting for the colder weather to freeze most of mine. I enjoy seeing the discoveries of yours !! Freeze/Thaw/Repeat !! Phil
