Some very nice MC specimens. I hope there's more as good or better.

Nice finds

The triangular shaped fossil tenth down is quite interesting.

might be a bone or piece of cartilage.

When I saw it, it reminded me of this piece that I found back in 1991.

Andrew Young found the one above.  Rich Rock said it was a scale or bone.  Looks like probably a scale.  Cool, I let him know.

Rich

  • 4 weeks later...

Sorry, been neglecting this thread.  Here are some recent openings.  I have a shrimp that opened a few days ago.  It's small, so I need to get out the microscope.  More soon...

Cheers,

Rich

Fantastic.

Bulldozers and dirt Bulldozers and dirt
behind the trailer, my desert
Them red clay piles are heaven on earth
I get my rocks off, bulldozers and dirt

The two little Cyclopteris are very nice too. The Alethopteris is beyond sweet. How many concretions are still in progress? I need to know how much popcorn to get.      :popcorn::popcorn:

Actually, those are individual orbicular pinnules from a Macroneuropteris.   Better stock up... I've got quite a few nuts to crack this winter and beyond.

One of the nicest Cordiates specimens I've ever seen. Museum quality for sure. With a bonus Pecopteris on the side.
