dhiggi
Had a couple of hours on a beach in the Whitby area today but tides weren’t favourable. Along with a load of the usual Belemnites, Ammonites and Bivalves I also found these and was wondering A) is the item in pictures 1 & 2 a piece of amber that has been roughed up by the sea? I have heard of people ffinding amber here but am yet to see any. B ) What is the item in the third picture? thanks
Ludwigia
The item in the first 2 photos is a piece of flint. Not sure about that last one though. Could be from a bivalve, but that would have to have been quite a large one. Greetings from the Lake of Constance. Wrangellian
What is the weight of your first item? Amber is quite lightweight compared to normal rocks, so if it's not light it could just be flint as Ludwigia says. The 2nd item has the carbonized look of plant material, but I can't tell what kind. Palm? Tree bark?
caldigger
First one definately looks like flint or chert. Second item we could use some more clear and close up pictures of other sides and ends.

dhiggi
On closer inspection after the help received here the first item probably is flint. Here’s a few more pics of the second item and one of something similar (though possibly unrelated) that I found close by
