Praefectus
Does anyone know what these are? The previous owner forgot where they were found but thinks they are from the Fox river in Illinois. Can anyone confirm this? They look like plant fossils similar to those found at Mazon creek. Thanks.
deutscheben
Pennsylvanian plant fossils have indeed been reported from where the Fox meets the Illinois River, which I think would still be the Francis Creek Shale, same as Mazon Creek fossils. Those look to be different varieties of what were once called Pecopteris, but now go by other names- I think the middle and right ones may be Crenulopteris?
