Yes, sure is.  Looks like a bivalve, likely a clam, definitely not a 'finger'.

Cool pieces of history I've been finding. Definitely no fingers this time. But everything I've found has been in the same area. I'm ready to get back there but weather not permitting.

Actually, they are cool pieces of "pre-history" as in prehistoric.  Do you know the age of the formation you are finding these in?  See for example:  http://members.socket.net/~joschaper/geo.html

Not sure on the age yet. I'm a newbie and ready to learn and find out!!

Looks more like a brachiopod (Spirifer or Rhynchonellid sp.) to me than a bivalve (clam) based on the top valve.
