Found more tracks! Been digging out and flipping these big chunks of rock since all the tracks are on the underside. I stand corrected on my loose amateur term dinosaurs - archosaurs is the correct term.

I am in full agreement!!  I'm looking forward to someday soon visiting the R.L. Museum of Triassic Tracks.  :thumbsu:

Seriously, these are some quality and impressive finds!

I'm confused. I thought the trackways from Arizona, displaying prints like those posted, were Permian in age. Are these tracks from a different formation. I am familiar with Arizona's Coconino sandstone prints which are Permian. The Coconono tracks are attributed to Mammal-like reptiles, insects and scorpion-like critters.

I was told by a couple of guys from museums that they are Triassic, probably from the Chinle Formation, which is where the Petrified Forest is located. One of them wanted to take a look at where I found them so I will update with any new information I get from him. He said he would love to have some for display.

Wow! What a find.

You should show them to Spencer Lucas who has written papers on trackways from the Payson, Arizona area. He will be giving presentations on at least two of his paper at the Geological Society of America meeting in Phoenix in a few days.

Keep good records of where and at what level you find each of the fossils in case someone wants to research them. Let us know what the experts say.

My goal is to leave no stone or fossil unturned.

Thanks a bunch. It's amazing that Arizona has such an incredible array of trackways, spanning a vast chunk of geological time. Good luck in finding a ton more! Please post any additional info you uncover.
