Elvis and His Hound Dog - Images in Fossils

I had purchased some petrified wood that was cut into book ends. The blade marks were quite rough. After some effort on my flat lap, to my amazement this half had an image of a man and a dog. I named it Elvis and the Hound Dog. The other half was all black. The piece originated from Sweet Home, OR. I think it is quite the find. I was wondering if others have found pictures in their fossils/rocks. I know picture stone is known for patterns, but images are on another level.

The pup is clear as day, but I have to use some imagination on the image of Elvis and his mutton chop sideburns.

;)  But ya, it's all there. Pretty cool conversation piece.

I strongly disagree; I think that it the image of Ernie Kovacs (from Wikipedia). Look at those sideburns, mustache and eyebrows.

My goal is to leave no stone or fossil unturned.

You should donate this to the Elvis Presley Museum and that would qualify you for a Paleo Partner Award!!!

So what museum to send it to Elvis's  or Ernie's?

Decisions, decisions!!!

Colonel Custer or Buffalo Bill Cody are also possible candidates ;)

Here's an ibex which I discovered while cutting a septarian from the Provence. He has a calcite crystal as a heart.

Elvis's unless you cut off the Hounddog. Then Ernie's.
