Mosasaur skull cast

Hello evereybody,

I dont know if this is the right place to post this but I would be interested to learn more about mosasaur skull three-dimensional anatomy. Do someone know where it is possible to buy accurate mosasaur's skull cast? I am looking for something more educational than decorative and ideally not too big. I know that there are plenty of interesting stuffs on the web but from my experience in human medecine nothing is as good as a three-dimentional model to understand complex anatomical structure like the skull.

Thanks for helping!

There is a retailer that has replica Platecarpus skulls in their paleontology section at the website which look quite scientific correct to me.
the skull is roughly 40 cm in length..

Thanks for the link ziggy.

I realised that my post is misleading. Ideally I would like to find an accurate  model of the anatomy of the skull (as it would have been on a living animal) rather than the cast of an actual fossil that, I assume,, will show some deformation due to the fossillisation process.

That's about as accurate as you are going to get, considering fossilized remains are all there are to cast.  :headscratch:

Papers describing mosasaur skulls would be the next closest things.

Actually these kind of models exist. Here is an exemple( http://brantworks.com/wiccart-platecarpus-skull.php). It is based on an extensive 235 pages study by a paleontologist. By definition each skull fossil specimen shows only a part of the real anatomy   and a good model based on scientific knowledge could be much more accurate if realised with enough care and expertise. I am looking for something more accurate than the one of link...
