Bryozoa? But there are those far more expert than I.

It is an impression, mold, of a bryozoan frond. Tell us where you found it and what rock units it came from. My guess is that it is chert from the Mississippian Redwall Limestone. I bet a steel knife blade will not scratch the matrix rock.

I agree, a fenestellid bryozoan mould.
