Fossil or cool rock?

They look like two different rocks, neither are fossils. The top looks like sand/siltstone with cross bedding. The bottom one looks like chert. Do not forget to let us know where you found these and what rock formation they are from.

Looks like banded chert or agate, to me.

Both pictures are the same piece. Top pic is the view if looking straight at the right side of the piece in bottom pic.
