Everyone said NSR was dry and picked over but I hiked 9 hrs and found some cool stuff. My favorites are the Protostega costal bone with partial rib head preserved, the mosasaur bone with bite mark and the artifacts. I walked in tracks all day but the river is too large for someone to get everything and people miss quite a bit.

You're like a NSR hero, dude. :notworthy: Anytime I go - if I find even half as much as you regularly do, I consider it a successful trip. And I drive 5 hours to get there!!! :default_rofl:

Lol I get lucky sometimes. It takes me two hours to get there so I try to hunt at least 7 or 8 hrs.

Nice! After 9 hours of hiking in the Texas heat you deserve to find something! :default_faint:

LOL - heck, if I have the time and resources, I sometimes grab a hotel room in Sulphur Springs and make a weekend of it...might as well enjoy it before it becomes a lake...

Awesome coprolite! Looks like a million inclusions in there!

Thanks. It's full of little bones.

The picture right before and after the snake is what exactly? is it that red and grayish blue rock?

Enchodus jaw on top of the pic and mammoth tooth enamel on the bottom of the pic. I didn't mean to post it twice lol.

Great finds Jarrod! I love the points!

Thanks. I'm always excited to find one not broken. The river is hard on them.

Great finds especially under suboptimal conditions. My finds even under the perfect conditions can’t compete. I’m beginning to think you have an evolutionary advantage in which your eyes are able to see fossil material similar to a thermal scope’s ability so see heat.
