MarcoX
Hello forum I recently bought this 9cm big Keichousaurus and would like to get some opinions, if there are any painted parts on it? thanks marco
caldigger
Marco, you are going to have to provide much "closer up" pictures than that. Try taking shots of block areas of this. We will need close pics of the bones so as to check texture, continuity and color variations.
snolly50
Look at your piece with a 10X loupe or under a 'scope. Any paint should be fairly obvious (e.g. "added" digits will be flat 2-dimensional, "coloring out of the lines" will be evident beside real painted bone). Painting material that small is just too precise a task not to leave small errors. Good luck, have fun. 4 Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, also are remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so. - Douglas Adams, Last Chance to See
Fossildude19
Cropped and brightened: Nothing really obvious to me from these pictures, except maybe the blob near the lower abdomen on the fossil's left side near the crack going through it (bottom). 2 Tim - VETERAN SHALE SPLITTER VFOTM --- APRIL - 2015 __________________________________________________ "In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks."
