Apparently they couldn't spell properly when they named the river. "Chunky is a name derived from the Choctaw language most likely meaning martin (bird). zs1994 Posted October 5, 2019 Author Share Posted October 5, 2019 yea it’s got tons of arrowheads and also lots of civil war relics in 1863 a train carrying confederate troops derailed into the river its got a lot of history surrounding it that’s why i wouldn’t be surprised much to find a dinosaur tooth in it seems like everything else is in it. 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
