Kimberly RM
Found in the Glen Rose area. Can anyone tell me if this rock in this fossil came like this or how did it get in there?

Ludwigia
What you have there is solidified reworked sediment. You could call this conglomerate. Imagine the waves at and near the seashore churning sand, gravel, pebbles and mud around and getting it all mixed up. Sometimes pieces of deceased organisms are mixed in as well, although there is nothing obvious to me in it in this case. After the water has receded, the sediment solidifies and, depending on the circumstances, can become further mineralized. 2 Greetings from the Lake of Constance.
