Fern ID

So I got this Fern nodule yesterday.

It came with no info.

Approx 6 cm

 

Any ideas?

Looks like a Pecopterid. The actual genus and species needs close examination of the veining to pin down. Love them nodules from either UK or US.

The general shape does resemble Pecopteris miltoni  which is one of the more common species, although there are at least two dozen that are similar. I looked at your photos and I don't see that there is enough detail in the venation to really pin it down to a species, but if there is definitely post some photos.

I will take a closeup over the course of the weekend
