Im sure I could fix it but really have no experience wih mammoth stuff and absolutley dont have the time.  Im sure Kris has some valuable info on the subject.

@cutnshootgal2 (I'm picking up some possible shared interests based on your handle )   This is typically an easy fix. Thankfully, the very porous bone is almost asking for a thick glue. Without photos I can't give concrete advice but here's what I would normally do. Depending on the state f the break (clean or multiple pieces) I dissolve Paraloid in acetone to the consistency of warm honey. Pour this into the porous bone on both sides of the break. Then, mix up some Paraloid that is thick, like molasses and spread it on one side of the joint. Then, put the two pieces together and put a tie down strap around the pieces and tighten to hold the joint together. Support the piece in a sand box or with sand bags and let it sit for a week.

 

Then, undo the strap and use a rag with straight acetone to scrub off the Paraloid that is on the surface.
