Thank you everyone. I guess the question is what is “your” wish list for teeth?!

Mine would be a nice large fairly complete T. rex tooth. But (1) I don't have anywhere to find one and (2) to purchase one is way out of my price range! I did manage to get an okay Nanotyrannus off the auction site a few months back that was at my spending threshold.

Based on my experience, it is troodontids.  But then my experience is going out and finding them.  Alas, I am still looking for the Struthiomimus teeth.

I'm just guessing here, but I think the teeth that are the hardest to get are the ones from species that have not yet been discovered. What do you think? :D

Fossil hunting is easy -- they don't run away when you shoot at them!

@Troodon If I go to a country, such as Argentina, and buy a fossil from a shop, is it legal for me to bring it back? A Carnatosaurus perhaps from a fossil store?

Its illegal to take any fossil out of the country.  Also the odds on finding " a real one " in a fossil shop is extremely low.  I doubt anyone can properly identify one other than theropod paleontologist.  Again the same issue exist with having a good provenance.

Have a nice trip but I believe the export laws are the same.  I remember just a few years ago at the Tucson show that material from Chile was plentiful from ++6" Meg teeth to bird skulls.   Today just a few leftovers from the heydays of fossil collecting in Chile.

Just an fyi,  Chilean shark and some other material is still available online through several domestic dealers.  So if you want any it's your safest bet.

This week I obtained a Siamotyrannus. Over 3.5 inches. Largest one seen out of a museum apparently.

Ah yes I remember seeing them. Very rare teeth which don’t come up often. Mine is probably the same size as the small one front left
