Happy National Fossil Day everybody else who is not Bobby. :D

I'll start the ball rolling with a nice and quite rare Calliprotonia renfrarum brachiopod, Upper Pennsylvanian, Lecompton Limestone Formation, Beil Limestone Member, Lake Perry, Kansas.

Those acrotretaceans are pretty aggressive.

Nearly as bad as the terrorbratulids.

Happy National Fossil Day, everyone!!! :yay-smiley-1:

I'll add a beautiful find I made this past summer - it's my first complete trilobite from Toronto, Ontario, Canada!  It's a Flexicalymene granulosa from the Georgian Bay Formation which is Upper Ordovician in age.  I'll post before-prepped-by-Malcolm and after-prepped-by-Malcolm photos - it's definitely one of my favourites. :trilo:

A few of mine that I found and prepped, just from 2019. In the mix: two Eldredegeops rana from PD, 1 dorsal median plate of placoderm from the Widder, a prone Flexicalymene croneisi from Bowmanville, and two Terataspsis grandis fragments (pydigium and hypostome).

Too bad it isn't worldwide fossil day, but we can try to improve on that, right? I've been having a bit of luck lately at my shark tooth site, so here are 3 of my recent Miocene finds.

It's also World Food Day, but please do not eat your fossils.

Despite fossils being very high in minerals, perhaps only a bad dentist looking for new business would recommend you bite into them. :P

Beautiful and fantastic prep done.

Thanks, and to be fair I only did 50% of the preparation (I was afraid to prep the eye lenses and burn them off). But I'm still very happy with it!
