Anything in particular you're looking for? Lacustrine stomatolites? Fluvial stromatolites? Sinter stromatolites? Only Precambrian ones? There's NO WAY you can grasp the meaning of stromatolites without having a reasonable understanding of carbonate petrography I can recommend every one of the 700+ pages in this book Old,but good 3 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Which is why I want to study up on them. But, as with all my other fossils, I seem to be attracted to the older material. Thanks for the book suggestion. I have looked online at my various sources for books, and cannot find it. Guess it must be quite obscure?
