Unknown phalange, Peace River Florida

Bone Daddy

Recommended Posts

Here is nice little fossilized phalange bone that I found in Florida's Peace River. Like verts, almost all phalanges look alike to me, except for size differences. I'm having a hard time ID'ing this one. Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks!

Thanks!  I think I have stumbled across a new spot. It's the same place I found the Pleistocene raccoon skull and the other unidentified fossil vert that I posted. This site seems to be rich in Pleistocene land specimens, but very sparse on Miocene material like dugong ribs and shark teeth. I'll be going back once the river goes back down from the rain that Nestor brought.
