Hello!
I am looking for a good keichousaurus for my collection.
After a legal search I found these two.
One is of a 28cm adult reptile, prepared with hand tools and I think in ventral position.
The other is a juvenile reptile prepared with acid and 16cm hand tools and in dorsal position.
Which one do you think is better? position and preparation ...
Thank you!!

If both are legit (seem to be) and if you have the budged: Both!

Nice to have an adult and juvenile one side by side, incl. different prepping methods and different position.

1+1 is not 2 in this case, but at least 4 --> They would be a "Lovely couple"!

Both are genuine.  I would prefer the manually prepped one.  The acid prepped is not too bad among acid prepped ones but the bones are worn off.  You can however see the very nice bones of the manually prepped one.  The cost is of course a factor to consider.  The manually prepped one must be more expensive than the acid prepped one.

Both very  nice the first one does not look like it has been prepped very much . The second looks to be a nice juvenile.
 Good luck Bobby

Thank you so much! I want to know your opinions about preparation. :)

Both are authentic and both have been damaged by poor prepping techniques. The first has been ground with a wire brush and much detail has been lost. Further proper prepping would help this one and it could be quite nice. The second has been over-cooked with acid and not much can help that. Both, however, are above average typical Chinese prepped specimens and if that is good enough for your purposes, they are both great.

By the way, what is a "legal search"? Chinese law prohibits the export of any vertebrate fossil, so technically, I guess, and I certainly have been told so many times, there are no legal keichousaurs.
