Hey Everyone,

very cool forum.  I've been fascinated with fossils since I was a boy and recently had the opportunity to take my family on a fossil expedition to a barrier island in the Cooper River in Charleston, SC.

Could anyone help me identify this tooth?  From browsing your site and others I'm thinking Croc or Mosasaur.

Thanks!

Welcome to the Forum. :)

Sorry, this is not a tooth.

This has bone texture, and no enamel.

Maybe a piece of fish skull?

Thanks for the replies.  I'll file it under unknown for now :)

Luckily, we walked away with some hammerhead, mako, great white and meg teeth.
