aplomado
I was looking at this Otodus tooth fossil from Morocco... Does this matrix look all natural?

Doctor Mud
Looks good to me. It has fracture surfaces like real rock, and lots of variation - changes in colour and texture. The ground up rock/glue matrix doesn’t look like this.

FossilNerd
I think it looks pretty good. The teeth appear to be in good shape too. The cusps look original. A lot of the times these are broken off and a random one is glued back on. The roots are sometimes created with plaster and the like as well, but I don’t really see that here. At least not in this picture. Closer pics would better tell. 1 The good thing about science is that it's true whether or not you believe in it. -Neil deGrasse Tyson Everyone you will ever meet knows something you don't. -Bill Nye (The Science Guy)
caldigger
Usually ( from my experience ), when they make these with the glue and sand mixture they resemble mud pies are roundish and look formed. Normally they would put in whole fossils and not small nondescript bits like you have there. I would say yours is good to go.
