Hi everyone,

Was wondering what you guys thought about this partial tooth shard.

The seller is apparently the one who discovered the oldest spider fossil and dinosaur brain fossil.

Seller says this fossil came from

HASTINGS SUB GROUP
WEALDEN SUPERGROUP
WEALDEN OF SUSSEX

Let me know what you guys think!

Don't know if this helps but this is the only other picture. It's very small in hand so I could try to take a picture with a loupe if that would help.

All I can personally say is better photographs need to be provided before making a purchase. Make sure you have good lighting on the tooth shard.

Baryonyx denticles are not typical of other theropods. Example below.  Your again looks more like an iguanodont

More lighting and higher quality photos may aid in getting an accurate ID.  I can't really make out what it is from the pictures at the moment.

I'm in the Iguano-Camp here.

From what can be seen (not much) i'm with Troodon - looks more like Iguano.

P.S.: Some kind of juvenile lungfish have similar shape and denticles...so the size to know may help a little bit, too.
