6 think its Champsosaurus vertebra (not vertebrae - plural)

process is a part of a bone that sticks out of, say, a main shaft of the bone.  e.g. the olecranon process is the funny bone... the portion of the ulna the sticks out beyond the joint for the humerus.

 

This looks more like a vertebra.  I would go with turtle, maybe.
