ColeA
I found this today out on the brazos river and I’m not sure what it is exactly. When I first picked it up my thought was mammoth or mastodon skull just from pictures I have seen. Can anyone help me identify this?
Fin Lover
This is a guess, but the first picture looks similar to a piece of bone I found that Boesse IDed as part of the occipital condyle of a baleen whale. So, could be skull, but I can't tell you what from. Edited July 27 by Fin Lover Added photo
johnnyvaldez7.jv
It is a skull fragment with an occipital condyle to a large mammal I think. Those foramen are pretty big. That is a really nice find. Congrats on that @ColeA whatever it is from if it's possible to determine. Edited July 27 by johnnyvaldez7.jv 1 1

johnnyvaldez7.jv
There are 3d images online you can use to help you in trying to ID it. Type in mammoth skull 3d online and you can see links where you can move a scan around to orient it with your find to compare. There are other mammals as well. The whale is interesting. johnnyvaldez7.jv
@Stingray Here is the link for Sketchfab which is pretty good. Has quite a variety of stuff. You can move the scan around and zoom in. Pretty cool. This is just an example but there are others he can use to to help find what he's looking for. Some specimens are just fragments.
