Greg Roy 73
Found in Jurassic muds, whiteish in colour, resembles bone fragment, poss a white belemnite (never seen one before, have hundreds) slight curve, id. pls. Found near Charmouth. Still part inside rock so doubt modern but not impossible as muds, small animal? Modern Squirrel, bird or rabbit bone? Or fossil? Appears to have marrow in x section. Thanks.
TqB
Definitely belemnite. The shape and colour are right for the stem region of specimens of Subhastites (formerly Hastites) from the Seatown Marl Member (Green Ammonite Beds). Edited July 30 by TqB 3 1
Coco
The "striations" and it seems to me a slight curvature on the 1st photo remind me of a mollusk of Dentalium family. Coco

Coco I see what you mean but it is definitely a piece Subhastites/Hastites which is very common there and with this shape, slight furrowing, surface texture and colour. I don't think any scaphopods have been recorded. Edited July 31 by TqB 2
