johnnyvaldez7.jv
I found this tooth today Sunday on a river gravel bank. Is it a bison tooth? It has nice colors and it's pretty solid. If it's cow, that would be the nicest one I've found. Thanks for your thoughts. Sorry will add size here shortly. Edited July 31 by johnnyvaldez7.jv
Rockwood
I think it lacks diagnostic details that would distinguish it from a cow tooth.
Brandy Cole
Based on the crenellations, I'd say bison. 1
johnnyvaldez7.jv
@Brandy Cole so the crenulations are the wrinkles in the tooth (most notable in the 4th pic) and striations are the colorful lines like in pics 1-3? Thank you. Will still send measurements when I make it home.
grandpa
Which ever it is, I love the coloration!
johnnyvaldez7.jv
@grandpa Thanks. Also found these two Equus teeth feet away from it which both are colorful as well. I found the jaguar bone, camel phalanx, the large scapula piece from the other post and a bunch of other stuff here... it's a good spot. Also have a bone I'm gonna be posting soon don't know what it is yet. It's real crusted over in hard sandstone and the bone is brittle as ever. It's a tough clean. But here's the horse teeth I found yesterday with this tooth.

garyc
Nice colors! I’ve read that the blue color comes from vivianite. Not sure if that’s the case here 2
