Rockwood
Here's another trace, pretty sure at least, found nearby. There were several other pieces with the meniscate shapes in them, but this one seemed to be most informative.
westcoast
Something along the lines ofTaenidium or Beaconites.
Johannes
Beaconites has per definition a lining, I can not see at the pictures. So I'm more (but not completely) on the Taenidium side. The meniscate structures are contrariwise around the "not-so-silified" center. I have seen such bandering structures sometimes in cretaceous/palaeocene flint (edit: or agates), where they were a non-organic/mineralogical/synsedimentary feature. Rockwood
Uh oh. The other pieces are roughly the shape of flint shards, and it is difficult to determine a preferred orientation. Perhaps this is not a trace, too.
