Is this a fossilized nut, pecan?

I found this in an Indiana riverbed and I’m dying to find out what it is exactly.

I believe you have a rock that just happens to look like a pecan, sorry to say.

Rocks, like clouds, present numerous opportunities, unveiling recognizable forms upon closer examination. Just as clouds take on diverse patterns, rocks also display varied shapes that spark our creativity. For instance, a mountain rock's rugged edges might mirror fortress walls, while a river rock could mimic a seashell. Similar to interpreting cloud shapes, identifying familiar figures in rocks engages our imagination—such as spotting a rock resembling a pecan. ^_^
