Horrible crack repair but the bird looks real.  Maybe something fishy about the head?  May be some color added on parts of the bird?

I have little to no experience with these, but it seems odd to me that two bones I would've expected to be affected by the big crack look fairly pristine.  Not sure if that would be expected or not, but it looks off to me.

I agree with @Brandy Cole I also have no experience with this 

But the leg bones do look unaffected by the significant crack

The closer I look, the more I think there may have been quite a bit of painting involved.
