What is this?  Found on the beach in SoCal.  Petrified, and worn from the waves and salt, but still really unique.  Crustacean shell?  Bone seems a bit of a stretch, given its shape.

Part of an oyster shell, I think.

It is a barnacle plate. Notice the semi hollow interior.
