Captcrunch227
I’m only seeing a rock here. Are you asking if this whole thing is a tooth or is the tooth in the rock and I’m missing it?
Ludwigia
@jameserasmus Please change your titles so that each one is different. This is already the 3rd one with the same words. This only leads to confusion.
Tidgy's Dad
I also only see a rock here.
Mahnmut
There is no tooth texture.
Fossildude19
No enamel, no bilateral symmetry. No root texture. Not a tooth. You would do well to research your area, and see what, if any, fossils can be found there. Geologic units in Fresno County.
Carl
Including scale and locality are very important clues to help us ID things. But I agree that there are no obvious tooth details.
Shellseeker
@jameserasmus Here is something I looked at when I was just getting started.. It is a list of OLD fossil sites listed by state, I looked at Florida and found out places close to me that produced fossils, what type of fossils I should expect... and I went to a bunch of those places... Many had been cleaned out or were restricted but there was lots left !!! ANother way is to connect with local fossil clubs or best yet , take a trip to a place in California that has tons of fossils... http://fossilspot.com/STATES/CA.HTM
